Cynnig i Ethol Cadeirydd Dros Dro
Motion to Elect Temporary Chair

[1]               Ms Buckle: Good afternoon and welcome to the meeting of the Health and Social Care Committee. The first item on the agenda is the election of a temporary Chair. I would like to invite nominations from committee members for a temporary Chair to be elected under Standing Order No. 17.22.

[2]               Rebecca Evans: I nominate Lynne Neagle.

[3]               Gwyn R. Price: Seconded.

[4]               Ms Buckle: I see that there are no other nominations, and I therefore declare Lynne Neagle elected.

[5]               Lynne Neagle: Thank you very much.

Penodwyd Lynne Neagle yn Gadeirydd dros dro.
Lynne Neagle was appointed temporary Chair.

Cyflwyniad, Ymddiheuriadau a Dirprwyon
Introductions, Apologies and Substitutions

[6]               Lynne Neagle: I welcome members of the committee to the meeting this afternoon. I will start with a few housekeeping issues. As you know, the meeting is bilingual; the headphones are here for translation or for amplification. I remind Members to turn off their mobile phones and any other electronic equipment, please. I remind Members that as this is a formal meeting, there is no need for them to operate the microphones themselves. There is no fire alarm planned, but in the event of it sounding, please follow directions from the ushers. Apologies have been received from Vaughan Gething and Ken Skates. I welcome Mick Antoniw to the meeting; he will be substituting for one of them, and I gather that we are also expecting Jenny Rathbone as a substitute.

[7]               Lynne Neagle: There are two papers to note, both of them letters from the Deputy Minister to the Chair. One is dated 11 June and the other 17 June, and both relate to the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Bill. Are Members happy to note them? I see that you are. Lovely.
